Is Invisalign Right for You?
During your initial consultation, Dr. Yakov Eisenberger, Dr. Rahul Gulati, and Dr. Rosie Katz will discuss with you your orthodontic needs and treatment goals. This consultation may take from one-and-a-half to two hours and is important to assess the condition of your teeth and your possible orthodontic treatment options. Is Invisalign Effective?
Invisalign takes less time to work its magic than traditional metal braces. Treatment with Invisalign can last anywhere from 9 to 18 months, from fitting to completion, depending on how much work needs to be done. Drs. Eisenberger, Gulati, and Katz stress upon their patients that they must wear the aligners as directed. If you leave your aligners out for too long, your teeth can shift into unintended positions, and that may require a patient to have to start the whole process all over again.
What Does Invisalign Require?
Patients will need to visit their orthodontist every six-to-eight weeks (depending on individual needs) for check-ups on treatment progress with the Invisalign system. These check-ups will take about a half hour, during which your orthodontist will make sure that your aligners are comfortable and that they’re doing their job correctly.
